Flying Over Sunset Original Broadway Cast Recording

Masterworks Broadway is proud to release the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Lincoln Center Theater’s production of the new musical FLYING OVER SUNSET. The album features original music by Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, Jagged Little Pill) and lyrics by Tony Award Nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens, Harvey Milk) with book and direction by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods). Starring in the musical are Tony Award Nominees Harry Hadden-Paton (My Fair Lady, Downton Abbey), Carmen Cusack (Bright Star, Wicked) and Tony Yazbeck (On The Town, Finding Neverland). Set in the 1950’s, FLYING OVER SUNSET is a work of fiction inspired by the lives of three extraordinary and accomplished people – writer Aldous Huxley (Harry Hadden-Paton); playwright, diplomat, and congresswoman, Clare Boothe Luce (Carmen Cusack); and film legend Cary Grant (Tony Yazbeck) – each of whom in real life experimented with the drug LSD. At a crossroads in their lives the three come together, and under the influence of the drug, take a trip and confront the mysteries of their lives and their world.
